Read. Reflect. Practise.
The reading room contains the project’s living manuscript. The Index turns its five-part framework into a personal reflection. The practice studio offers small actions you can test in your own work.
The manuscript is published under the project’s name. Its claims and source notes should be read critically; this website is not an academic institution or a certification body.

The twenty statements come from the manuscript’s original self-assessment. Each is scored 0–5; four statements form each dimension, scored 0–20. The total is a Depth Score out of 100. The Depth Deficit Index equals 100 minus that total.
For dimension scores, higher means more consistently reported habits. For the Index, lower means more consistently reported habits overall. All dimensions have equal weight; that is a design choice, not a validated scientific weighting.
What it cannot tell you
This instrument has not been validated for reliability, diagnostic accuracy or prediction. It cannot establish cognitive decline, professional ability or causation. Some statements may not fit your role, access needs or circumstances. There are no validated severity bands, population benchmarks or promised improvements.
Use it as a starting point
Answer from concrete examples. Review your lowest dimension and choose a manageable practice. Retake later if useful, remembering that familiarity and self-perception can change scores too. Do not use scores to rank people or make employment decisions.
